Bumbershoot returned to Seattle Center with 45 music acts spread across two days. Hardcore, indie rock, hip-hop, post-punk, country, electronic music, global sounds and homegrown Seattle voices shared the same campus without being forced into one neat identity.
Turnstile and Death Cab for Cutie anchored opposite nights, but the story was much larger than its headliners. The full bill moved from emerging local artists to foundational names and restless live performers, often within a single walk between stages.
